Further proof the Harper government™ corporate tax cuts do not work!

The corporate tax rate in 2000 was 28% and the unemployment rate was 6.8%.

In 2013, the unemployment rate was 7.2% and the corporate tax rate was 15%.

Ever wonder why the Harper government™ does not demand job creation from Canadian corporations for these corporate tax cuts?

More than 45,000 jobs lost in December

In January, Sears Canada announced it is laying off more than 1,500 Canadians.

FYI: Sears Canada sales were up in 2013, compared to 2008.

Today, Bombardier is laying off more than 1,000 Canadians.

FYI: Bombardier announced two multi-billion dollar orders in December, and another order for 38 business jets valued at $2.2B, just 3 weeks ago!

The Harper government™ would have us believe that corporate tax cuts somehow stimulate the growth of the Canadian economy or create jobs here in Canada… so, why are Canadian corporations are hoarding billions and/or outsourcing Canadian jobs?
